The Fierce Deity Theory
If the Deku mask has the spirit of the butler's son, the Zora mask has the spirit of Mikau, and the Goron mask carries Darmani, who's spirit does the Fierce Deity mask carry. Well, a Deity is a God, so that would mean that the name would literally translate to Fierce God, so it could be that the mask carries the spirit of the God of Termina. Which would actually make sense to why Majora gives the mask to you, and why the moon looks the way it does. Some people who have envisioned how heaven looks like, have envisioned what the inside of the moon looks like on Majora's mask. So the inside of the moon could be Termina's heaven, and just like in the FullMetal Alchemist manga, Majora defeated and obtained God. -Theory by Xbro Kong
The song of healing theory
In Majoras Mask you can collect a series of masks that have different abilities. The Keaton mask let's you talk to Keaton and the Bremen mask let's you make animals follow you. In MM it clearly point's out that each of these masks are made when a lost soul is healed by the song of healing. In the game, the Happy mask salesman is the one who teaches link the song of healing. Where does the Happy mask salesman learn the song of healing, if it is such a sacred song. If you remember inside the moon, the children in there look very identical to the Happy Mask Salesman. In the Fierce Diety Theory, we decided that the moon is Termina's heaven, making the moon children angels, but in the MM manga, Link, under the influence of the Fierce Deity, calls the salesman a troublemaker. It is possible that he could have been banished from the moon. If he were banished from the moon, it would mean that he would have to be a former angel so he new the secrets of the moon, including, the song of healing. If it were to go as far as if a Bremen were to die, the moon children could have made them into masks. The Fierce Deity was also a mask. When majora possessed the moon to start crashing into the earth, he would have had to kill the Fierce Deity in the process. In doing this, the moon children were nearly helpless. As a last resort, the moon children sealed his spirit into a mask just before he died, making the Fierce Diety mask. Majora had done what none have ever attempted, conquered God. -Theory by Xbro Kong
The Wind Waker Theory
Sharp and Flat are two royal composers that composed many of the songs played in Ocarina of Time. The Ocarina of Time is a magical instrument that can control weather and time, if playing one of Sharp and Flat's songs, it is very mystical, forged from Time shift stones, it can start and stop time at ones will, thus controlling the weather, but why are Sharp and Flat able to control the weather? If you look at the picture to the left, you can see the composition stick, yes, it greatly resemples the wind waker. This is most likely where the wind waker came from, and it is also why it is able to control weather as well. However, since there is only one wind waker, the one that flat uses, what is the one that Sharp uses? This will be explained in the next theory. - Theory by Donald Bohnwagner III
Sharp and Flat theory
In the last theory, we discussed the wind waker being Flat's stick, but what is Sharp's stick? If you remember from Majora's Mask, Sharp was evil. It was stated somewhere that Sharp sold his soul to the devil, and trapped Flat in the graveyard, with an Iron knuckle their stopping him from escaping. Just as the opposite to the Master sword is Demise's sword, the opposite to the Wind Waker is Sharp's stick. There is also other things supporting the opposite factor between these brothers, if you were to look at their hats, you would see a sun on Sharp's and a moon on Flat's, Yin and Yang. But if Sharp is the bad one and Flat is the good one, why does sharp have the sun, and Flat have the moon. If you remember from the first two theories on this page, the moon in termina represents heaven, and the sun, is it's opposite. In Stone Tower Temple, in order to get to the boss, Link has to fall into the sun, or the battleground of Twinmold, a very evil place. Although Sharp and Flat worked together for the royal family, they are counter-parts. - Theory by Xbro Kong
Majora's Mask Link's Awakening Connection Theory
What are the connections between these two games, most people would say, they both take place in parallel worlds with Hyrule. But there is more to it than that. Although Link's Awakening was just a dream, the wind fish was not. In fact, the Ballad of the Wind Fish was played at the milk bar in Majora's mask. After Link's awakening is completed, Marin turns into a seagull, I'm guessing that this was what nintendo had thought when they first put the song in the game. However, now that Hyrule Historia came out they did not mention this in the book because it would be a complete contradiction to the timeline, but there is still a way to connect them. The wind fish was not asleep since the dawn of time. Link's awakening is in the middle of an ocean connecting Hyrule, Labyrinth, and Holodrum, in other words, it connected worlds. Why then would Termina not be connected by that ocean as well? That is where the theory is strongest. When you look out at the Great Bay from Majora's mask, it never ends. So if the ancient zoras from Termina would have communicated with the wind fish, they would have heard the Ballad of the wind fish from the wind fish itself before it went to sleep. This links to the theory that all Worlds are connected by many different passages. -Theory by Xbro Kong
Lost woods Theory
Following up on my last theory, I concluded that there are multiple connections with many different video game worlds. We've established the ocean connection, but what about the Lost Woods connection? Well, as we see at the first of MM, the lost woods are not just stumps, but full of tall trees like a real forest. A very large forest, much like the forest on Nightmare Before Christmas, which has portals to different worlds inside it. I believe that the lost woods are like that as well, but not all in one place looking the same. Majora's mask has a stump, there may be more than one type of entrance, like a hole. A hole that the triforce could have sent link down after he returned the triforce to Hyrule Castle. In the opening sequence of Oracle of Seasons, the triforce sends link to Holodrum down from the sky. Link falls onto a place surrounded by grass, but no grass. This might be due to the fact of things falling from a hole stopping the grass from growing in that place. That also explains the reason that there are stalfos in Holodrum. Salfos are made when an adult is lost in the Lost Woods, so why would they be anywhere that there wasn't Lost woods? The same goes for Labrynna. There is also evidence suggesting that the lost woods are the same woods as the Forest of Illusion from Super Mario World, considering that, in the Japanese versions of the games, they are both called "Lost Forest" -Theory by Xbro Kong
All Worlds Are connected Theory (part 1)
In our last theory, we established that koholint, and Termina are connected by the same ocean that Labrynth and Holodrum are connected. Since Termina and Hyrule are two worlds connected by the Lost Woods, we have established that there is more than one connection between worlds. Today we will establish how this can lead to any other video game world, namely the Mushroom Kingdom. We will be going back to Link's awakening(LA) for this one. In LA, there are some enemies that are very similar to enemies only found in the mushroom kingdom, like the Goomba, the Boo, the Chain Chomp etc. Since we already know that there is a connection with other worlds in LA, we can also realize that it might also be connected with the Mushroom Kingdom. The enemies from the mushroom kingdom only appeared on the island, which was a dream, knowing this the windfish could not have just thought of them, but he could have seen them for himself, before he went into deep sleep. This is not the only connection with the Mario series that exists, Talon and Ingo look very much like mario and luigi, but not only that, if you look on Talon's neck, you can see a bowser emblem on his collar, since this was long before a certain turn of events we can only conclude that this is not Mario and Luigi, but their ancestors. One of Malon's descendants(grandson or great grandson), could have gone to work as a carpenter, i.e. Jump man, the protagonist of Donkey Kong. Since it was revealed that Donkey Kong from the original game is actually Cranky Kong, Jump Man has to be Mario's grandfather. When I said it was long before a turn of events, here is what I meant. In the Minish Cap there is an instrument called the Ocarina of Wind, which is very much similar to the flute from A Link to the Past, and plays the same song as the warp whistle from Mario. After ALTTP, the warp whistle just disappeared, or did it? From what we know, after LA, the hero was never seen again, but we know that the windfish had somehow seen enemies from the mushroom kingdom, so we can conclude that it was close, when link was stuck in the middle of the ocean, he could have played it and it brought him to the mushroom kingdom. Later on he could have brought it back to Hyrule, because we there is a new Zelda game that might be featuring him and we also see the flute in the first game. Somewhere in the great sea from WW there is a connection to Great Bay also, Phantom Gannon's sword was made by the blacksmith's from Termina. Therefore, there are connections with different video games. -Theory by Xbro Kong
All worlds are connected theory (Part 2)
We have already discussed the connections between the different zelda games and the different mario games, but there is more. Back in the second century, the catholic church was conquering all of Europe, sending out legions to conquer. When the church in England was opposing the church, they decided to send 5000 troops to London, called the ninth legion. As they were moving through a forest in Ireland, they suddenly vanished. Many historians think that the English ambushed them in the forest, but we all know what really happened. In the last theory, we found two of the connections, one was the great ocean, the other was the lost woods. The ninth legion was traveling through the lost woods when they disappeared, therefore, they were transferred into the woods connection. This is the connection with our world. If one person were to get lost in the lost woods, they would lose their true form. Many of these people were discovered by Girahim in his searches for the goddess, but the rest were left to wander in the lost woods. That is correct, they became the bokoblins. Girahim was able to summon them at will from the lost woods. After Demise was defeated, however, the bokoblins that remained in Hyrule, were executed. The next time that the bokoblins can be seen, are in TP, and WW, which bokoblins found their way into Hyrule. Now if you remember, TP and WW are both along the timelines that the hero was successful. This meaning that once the sacred realm turned dark, in the defeated timeline, they were unable to pass through the lost woods any longer. -Theory by Xbro Kong
Map Theory(part 1)
In OoT, there are trees blocking the way to other places in the map. This can also be seen in TP. This has sparked Contriversy on the subject that TP and OoT do not have the same map, because it is Faron Woods instead of Kokiri Forest, but it is the same map. In Ocarina of time, it is only about 3 generations after the founding of Hyrule, so they could not have made Hyrule all that big at that time. The areas of TP are the same as OoT, but in Oot it does not go above Hyrule Castle. Hyrule could not expand until the Civil War was over in OoT, which is shown when the carpenters are still building Kakariko in OoT. After the war was over they started to expand and expanded clear to the woods. However, because nothing could live in the Kokiri Forest but Kokiris, they had to build right next to it. There is no way into the Kokiri Forest in TP, It might be possible that after the Hero of time departed from Hyrule, trees started to grow blocking the entrance, leaving only one place to expand to, Faron Woods. This is why Faron woods is also in Skyward Sword, and the giant tree in SS is not the Deku Tree, but the Forest Temple from TP. -Theory by Xbro Kong
Map Theory (part 2)
A question came up to me, how did the Temple of Time get into Faron Woods. Well, at the end of OoT, when Link warns Zelda about Ganondorf, the sages decide to execute Ganondorf, which is shown in TP. When they did this, they realized that it was too dangerous to keep something so sacred in the most obvious place, so naturally, they moved it to a place where nobody would ever go. Since Zelda had the Triforce of Wisdom, she was able to move the master sword into a new pedestal in a new temple, the Temple of Time from TP, but since there was nobody watching over the temple, it was overrun and broken into pieces, by monsters and trees. I might as well take this opportunity to explain why the Master Sword is found in the forest in ALTTP. As explained in Hyrule Historia, ALTTP, is on the timeline of the hero's defeat. This can lead to the fact that Ganon's castle was built over Hyrule Castle. After Zelda sealed Ganon inside the sacred Realm, she had to return the Master Sword to the temple of time, but there was a problem, Hyrule Castle was destroyed and the land it was standing on no longer existed. So rather than rebuild the castle in the old place, they decided to build it in an entirely different place. This explains why Kakariko Village is in the NW corner of the map, instead of the NE corner. If you look at the ALTTP map with a certain view, you can see OoT's map. Hyrule Castle was just moved down very SE of where it used to be, where it would be out of the area in OoT. -Theory by Xbro Kong
Map Theory (part 3)
Donald Bohnwagner III asked a question about the WW maps, and why they differ so much from the OoT maps. The answer is, they do not. If you look at the WW map, Dragon Roost Island is near the NE corner of the map, if you remember from OoT, Death Mountain was also in the NE corner. WW is in the same timeline of the adult era, meaning that the Deku Sprout grew into a Deku tree i.e. the Deku Tree from WW. Forest haven is near the SW corner, where the lost woods were. Most of the facts I stated were things people already know. However, Windfall Island is not Kakariko village, Kakariko was directly under Death mountain, and Forsaken Fortress is not Gerudo Valley, Ganondorf did not want to move back to Gerudo valley, he hated the wind that blowed there. Most people assume that the chamber of the master sword in WW is in Hyrule Castle, but it is not Hyrule Castle, but the temple of time. Hyrule Castle is where Ganon's tower is. They did not build it the same way it was in OoT, because Ganon had destroyed it. -Theory by Xbro Kong
Pointless Room Theory
In the depths of the Deku Tree, there is a room covered by a bombable wall. The only thing in this room is a gold skultula. This has led many to believe that this room is just for the skultula and has no other point in the story. I beg to differ. What if this was covered up for a reason, a reason that few have ever considered. In Dodongo's Cavern, there are bombable walls everywhere, because of the rocks falling and covering up small caves. There is no reason for the inside of the Deku Tree to have a bombable wall. Unless, the wall was covering up a tomb. During the Hyrule Civil War, when the Hylian mother came to the Deku Tree with link, she died a short while later. I'm sure that the Deku Tree would be wise enough to let her rest in peace, so he had one of the kokiri bury her inside of him. This is the only explanation for the reason that there would be such a pointless room in the Deku Tree. Next time you play Ocarina of Time, keep this in mind when you walk into the pointless room. -Theory by Xbro Kong
Navi Theory
As you know, Navi shared a bond with Link after the Great Deku Tree told her, The Time Has Come, and allowed her to venture with Link throughout his journey. Navi is a caring, insistent spirit, who tells Link of dangers ahead and warns him of foes he would face. Link's mother was a loving, caring mother, and takes it upon herself to venture off into the Kokiri Forest. She gives notice to the Deku Tree her struggle to survive, and feels it safer to let Link live with the Kokiri Children. Link at this point is in the Great Deku Tree's care, and Link's mother dies in the Pointless Room within the Deku Tree. Keep in mind that Link did not have a fairy with him until the day Ganon cursed the Deku Tree, sending the Queen Gohma inside of him. Navi the Fairy was beside the Deku Tree, waiting for orders to go and meet the boy on that day. It is by the care and love that she gives to Link, I am to believe that she is the reincarnation of Link's original mother. -Theory by Tom Spencer
Triforce Host theory
The question came up about the triforce hosts, how did each of them get it? Many of you may already know, but this is aimed at the people that don't know. We all know that in Skyward sword, he obtains each and every one of them through trials. In OoT, when Ganondorf touched the triforce, the courage portion found link, but how did the link from TP get the triforce? Well, it all comes together if you put enough thought into it. When the hero of time went into the woods, he later died, but since the triforce was still not reunited, it did not stop searching for an owner. After many years, it finally found the hero from TP. On WW, Link has to go find the eight pieces of the triforce, how did they get separated though? WW is found to be on the adult timeline. This is after Link defeats Ganon and goes back to his original time. The triforce can not disappear from existence. When link went back in time, he was greeted with the triforce of courage from the child timeline, but the adult timeline triforce shattered, and fell upon the land. In the hero is defeated timeline, Ganon has the entire triforce, so the hero from ALTTP, does not get the mark. Therefore, nobody obtains the mark on their hand until Zelda 2. Once again, Ganon tried to touch the triforce, and it scattered. Ganon was revived at this point, so he was not in the same body that he was in OoT, so the triforce still did not recognize him. Then the triforce of Courage found link. -Theory by Xbro Kong
Time Theory
All worlds are on planes of time, these planes can describe what is going to happen, and what can happen. This being said, there are two types of planes. The first plane, is that of free choice, nothing is written, everything can be changed, everything happens because of a choice that someone had made, and that choice could have been made differently. This is seen in many things, such as “Back to the Future”. The second plane, is the opposite, everything is written, nothing can be changed, people may think they have a choice, but in reality, everything is in a book, and nothing is still being written. This plane, can be found in the third Harry Potter book. The real question is, what plane is Zelda of? We have to look at it throughout all corners of each game, starting with Skyward Sword. Time travel takes place in this game, so logically it would be best to start here. If you remember from one point of the game, Zelda crystallizes herself in order to seal demise in the past. At the first of this game, this crystal can be seen. It was known that she would go back to change it, this puts this game onto the plane number two. Now going further down the line, we hit OoT, time travel also takes place in this game. Searching through this game for any evidence, you come across the time in which you learn the song of storms. The manner in which you learn the song is very strange, the man learned the song from Link from his childhood, yet Link learned the song from the man. This adds this game into the same category as Skyward Sword. With this, we can conclude that the series is on that time plane. This is where we have a problem. In the plane that leaves no free will, there can exist no such thing as a split timeline, it is required to exist on one straight time line. I saw this as a major flaw in the official timeline, until recently. Recently, I was playing OoA, and I realized, that verran was able to change the land by going back through time. If SS and OoT are both on plane number 2, why is it that OoA can be on plane number 1? Some people will say that it is because they are different worlds, but no, they are on the same world, they are just different countries in the world. The difference between OoT and OoA, is that OoA took place after the split, and OoT took place before the split.
Up until now, I've been stating fact, now is when the real theory comes out. Assuming that the Defeated Timeline was the first to occur, which makes sense as to why it is on the very left of the timeline, Link was defeated. Zelda had only one option used as a last resort, that was to seal ganon into the sacred realm without killing him. Afterward, she was devastated by this, Link defeated, Ganon holding the full triforce, and to top it off, the sacred realm was still corrupted. The only thing to do was to somehow change something that happened, change it to a point that there is a victory on the side of the hero. The only possible way to do this, was to use the Song of Time to change it, but because at this point, the time is on the second plane, so this could not be done by ordinary time travel. Her reason for using the Ocarina of Time of course. The Song of Time, when played with the Ocarina of Time, channels the energy and power of the goddess of time, explained in Majora's Mask, and the goddess of time had the power to put the universe on a plane. What she changed from the battle, we are uncertain, for we saw the change, and not the original. This theory explains three things, why there is a split timeline, why the universe switched from plane two to plane one, and why there isn't a split in the timeline every time someone gets a game over. This has always annoyed me that people use that against HH, but no longer. A split in the timeline only occurs when someone changes something in the past, not every time a player decides he can't save the world, and dies in the position of Link. #ZeldaTheory - Theory By Xbro Kong
